Sacha Baron Cohen got what some people probably think he deserves. Cohen, playing his now cult favorite Borat, got punched repeatedly in the face on the streets of New York. Why did this happen? Well Cohen (playing Borat) walked up to some guy and was commenting on how much he liked his clothes and that he would like to have “Sex with them.” Whoever was on the other end of the joke didn’t take to kindly to the joke and began to beat Cohen unmercifully until Cohen called out for help. The strangest thing about this story is that Cohen said he was going to “retire” Borat because he has became too much of an icon and cannot dupe anymore with the character.

As stated earlier Cohen is not doing a sequel to Borat. Fox Studios also said that a sequal is out of the question. So what is next for the master of disguises? He is in the works to bring some of his other characters to the Silver Screen like Bruno who interviews unsuspecting guests about topics such as fashion, entertainment, celebrities and homosexuality. Bruno will make his debut in 2008. He is also working on on some voices for animated movies as well. So Cohen will be a busy man even if he does retire Borat.

As for Borat, his days in the limelight don’t appear to be over. He seems to be getting sued from all angles as many who appeared in the movie have said they were duped into thinking it was just a documentary and not a big budget screening for a movie. Citizens of Glod, Romania, have the biggest beef with Cohen as they said they were lied to and were represented as savages in the film. I am sure someone will make a payment to these people and all the troubles will magically go away.

A story that broke US Weekly magazine says that they have gotten to the bottom of the separation of Hollywood couple Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. The story says that Phillippe and actress Abbie Cornish had an affair on the set of a movie called ‘Stop Loss.’ They were not very secretive about the affair the reports says as well. Cornish, a 24-year-old Australian, has been seen in films such as ‘A Good Year’, ‘Somersault’, and ‘One Perfect Day.’

The story comes as a shock to Hollywood community as the Witherspoon and Phillippe marriage seemed to be as genuine as they come in tinsel town. The wheels apparently started coming off two weeks ago at the Premier of Phillippe’s new film ‘Flags of Our Father’ when the two were seen fighting and were hostile towards one another. Us Weekly’s Katrina Szish stated on Access Hollywood, “”Reese came across pictures of Ryan and Abbie together and she immediately confronted Ryan. He admitted having an affair. He said all of the rumors were true and said let’s just end this now,”

Phillipe and Witherspoon have two children together ages 7 and 3. They have been together since March of 1997 when the couple met at a party. There has been rumors of fighting before between the couple but have said to have gone to marriage counseling to patch things up. Things are all over now as Witherspoon is enraged that Phillipe has humiliated her. In an ironic twist, Abbie Cornish is very similar in terms of physical characteristics to Witherspoon. Cornish stars along Russell Crowe in the film ‘A Good Year’ which starts next week and Heath Ledger in ‘Candy’ that is a sexual drama. She will have a lot more reporters who want to know her side of the story in all of this. Her office has refused comment.

Daniel Radcliffe, better known to you as Harry Potter, is taking off as an actor. Or maybe it should be he is taking it off as an actor. The 17 year old actor has confirmed that he is going to do a scene in the nude in the Tony award winning stage presentation “Equus.”
He told Newsweek Magazine, “Part of me wants to shake up people’s perception of me, just shove me in a blender,”

The actor, who was being interviewed on the set of the 5th installment of the Harry Potter films, said some other candid things about himself as well. Most shocking was the fact that he said it is hard for him to find a date because he wonders about the intentions of his female admirers. Those same female fans may be the first to buy tickets to the new film to see ‘Harry Uncensored.’

Radcliffe is Harry Potter once more in ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.’ Warner Brothers announced that the film will be released in cinemas on July 13, 2007. In the film Harry is ordered to stand trail and could be expelled from school. No word on any steamy love scenes or nudity in this one, Sorry girls. Daniel Radcliffe also stars in a film will be released in 2007 called ‘December Boys.’ No word on a official release date but we do know that Harry, erm, Radcliffe will play the lead role in a story that’s based in the 1960’s and he is an orphan and has a close knit of 3 other friends.

Scary Spice, AKA Melanie Brown to you non Spice Girls fans, is pregnant with comedian Eddie Murphy’s baby. According to reports, Mel B is about four months pregnant, which is about as long as their relationship.  And know you what that means…. Mel got knocked up within just days of meeting Murphy.

Wesley Snipes is a wanted man tonight. The star of movies like ‘White Men Can’t Jump,’ ‘Jungle Fever,’ ‘US Marshalls,’ and the ‘Blade’ films has not filed Internal Revenue returns for six years. And, as you may guess, the IRS wants it money. The indictment says that he failed to claim almost 12 million dollars in earnings. Snipes star has falling in the past few years after becoming a 90’s silver screen icon. Now he may be more famous for his striped jailed suits instead of starring in any big films.

Snipes is not the only star to conviently forget to pay the taxman. Richard Hatch, the winner of 1 Million Dollars on Surviver, is currently in the Federal Jail System because he didn’t file. Pete Rose, when he wasn’t gambling, was also avoiding the IRS. Willie Nelson, when he wasn’t puffing on reefer, didn’t pay the tax man and when he was caught released an album called ‘The IRS Tapes’ to help pay his debt.

So if Snipes needs some advice he has plenty of people to call. The actor is currently filiming a movie called ‘Gallowalker.’  He is also signed on to do three films that haven’t started filimg called ‘Toussaint,’ ‘Chasing the Dragon,’ and ‘The Shooter.’  If he does not answer the charges that are filed against him shortly I have a suggestion for him: He could do a remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie ‘The Running Man’ or team another version of ‘The Fugitive.’ With his audience not going to see him at the movies lately, his last movie (’Hard Luck’) cost more money than it took in, maybe it would easier for to play a part that he could relate to.

Paul McCartney, who has been seen rarely in the public since as his well publicized divorce proceedings weigh on him, took in his daughters fashion show debut in Paris yesterday. Stella McCartney, who was said to be livid from the day her dad started dating money grubbing Heather Mills, took a swipe at her soon to be ex-step mom by posting a note that read “This show is dedicated to my husband and son… it is also for my mum and dad. It is only possible, though, because of my team that keeps getting better and better! x Stella.”  Speculation also arises that a short story that Stella wrote entitled ‘Little Miss Nobody’ is a referenced towards Heather Mills as it tells a story how a “nobody” turns into a “somebody” with by associating themselves with the right crowd.

The fact remains that Paul McCartney looks like a broken man. With his over 1 Billion Dollar estate at risk and teams of lawyers battling over the smallest details McCartney is beginning to look like a 64 year old man. His boyish looks of yesteryear are now a thing of the past and are replaced by wrinkles brought on by stress and ill fortune. It looks that Stella McCartney is there for her father in these trying times as they embraced in an emotional hug at the reception of the event. As Paul and Heather fight for custody of their daughter Beatrice the ex Beatle will need a stabilizing figure and that looks like the role his 35 year old daughter will play. Now if Stella can only keep Paul from jumping to marry the next lady that reminds him of his ex wife Linda then everyone will be a lot happier in the McCartney family!

While Jessica Alba made a huge hue and cry about a kissing scene in  romantic comedy Good Luck Chuck , in which the frantic scenes with actor Dane Cook left her nursing a sore mouth, the reason why the Sin City star’s co-star went wild seem to be more clear now.
