Scary Spice Pregnant and Set to Wed Eddie Murphy
Scary Spice, AKA Melanie Brown to you non Spice Girls fans, is pregnant with comedian Eddie Murphy’s baby. According to reports, Mel B is about four months pregnant, which is about as long as their relationship. And know you what that means…. Mel got knocked up within just days of meeting Murphy.
This will be Mel’s second child. Her first child, Phoenix Chi, 7, was with dancer wx-husband Jimmy Gulzar. Murphy, however, is no stranger to making babies - he has six of his own already (5 by ex-Nicole, and 1 from a previous relationship).
News of the pregnancy first leaked when Mel made a recent trip to Le Bra Lingerie in West Hollywood, and gushed to store employees about the four-month pregnancy. The store spokesman, Andy Behrman, also said that she suspects twins because they run in Eddie’s family.
In August the pair took a trip to Maui where they stayed at the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel. At the time, it was reported that the trip was intended to see how their children would interact with each other and their potential step-parents.
The test must have gone well as Melanie and Eddie are reported to be planning to wed next month. It is rumored that the two will marry in a lavish ceremony at the Hotel Roosevelt in Los Angeles. Murphy’s family is apparently thrilled by the news of the wedding. Says older brother Charlie, “Eddie seems happy with her and that’s what’s important.”
Guests at the wedding are rumored to include former Spice Girls bandmates Victoria Beckham, Gerri Halliwell, Mel C, and Emma Bunton. Apparently there will be a Spice Girls “reunion” after all.
